Allergy Tips

What supplement reduces hay fever symptoms?

Supplements derived from the botanical butterbur (Petasites hybridus) have been shown in peer-reviewed medical journals to reduce the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, a.k.a. hay fever, in a majority of patients. Side effects were rare. But if you want to try this or other supplements, be aware that they are not regulated in the U.S. for safety or efficacy. Be especially careful about combining supplements with over-the-counter remedies such as antihistamines. Best bet: Talk to your doctor first.
