Symptoms of antipsychotic overdose

Symptoms of overdose can be similar to the medication’s side effects, but are usually more severe. Patients exhibiting any of the following symptoms should contact the physician immediately:

  • Involuntary movements of the tongue, face, neck or mouth

  • Severe muscle rigidity

  • Fever

  • Extreme sedation

  • Loss of consciousness or fainting

  • Seizure

  • Persistent, painful erection
