Are sperm in preejaculate "normal"?By:
I just got pregnant using withdrawal (my husband used a condom for the grand finale). Are sperm in the preejaculate of the same quality as sperm from "normal" ejaculate?
Your little baby sure wanted to be born!
The preejaculate fluid is made up of secretions from the glands and typically contains few sperm, but this depends upon the time from the last ejaculation.
Sperm are hearty creatures and live up to 72 hours plus in the vagina and male urethra.
Also, "weak" or defective sperm are not very good at doing all the work it takes to penetrate the egg. So the bottom line, is don't worry; if the sperm was strong enough to go through all it had to go through and fertilize the ovum, it was a "good one."
