Insured? Call your doctor. There may only be a small co-pay.

Go local. Check out your local or state health department for information on free or low-cost shots.

On Medicare? Medicare Part B covers flu shots.

Look around. The American Lung Association has an online flu shot locator and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers a state-by-state guide.

Check out these chains. Call ahead or check online to find out vaccination dates and times:

CVS pharmacy. Cost: $30
Walgreens. Cost: $24.99 to $30
