Could Chest X-ray Harm Fetus?By:
I had one chest X-ray during a medical checkup on Aug 21. The doctor asked me whether I was pregnant, and I told him no. On Aug 25, I missed my period, and the home pregnancy test turned out positive. I am worried about the chest X-ray. Could it have harmed the fetus? Should I continue with this pregnancy or not?

The amount of radiation you receive from a single chest X-ray is very low, and that amount is focused on the chest. The amount of radiation to the lower abdomen is negligible and should be of no concern. This should not be a reason to terminate a pregnancy.
