I love the Atkins board at iVillage because I know that if I have a question about any aspect of Atkins, I can get an answer here. I have found advice on where to find low-carb foods, recipes for delicious low-carb foods (like low-carb cheesecake and even chocolate cake!!), support and ideas on how to deal with non-understanding family members, and much more.

I have also found that if people on the board can't help you, they actually take the time to give links to other pages and/or books with the information that can help you. This board has a very welcoming, supportive atmosphere, and a very informative and friendly community leader. It's always a challenge to lose weight and learn to live a healthy lifestyle, and I have found the people on this board to be a great asset as I get used to living the Atkins way of life!

I visit the Atkins board to read the messages because they keep me inspired and teach me a lot. When I first went on the Atkins diet 5 years ago, I thought the Atkins approach meant that I could eat as much meat as I wanted, no matter how much fat it had. And I wound up having my gallbladder taken out because of that!

I knew the ideas behind the Atkins diet were good ideas. I came here to read how everyone else was approaching low-carb eating. I learned how to look at the glycemic index and how to get in all the fruits and veggies my body needs to be healthy, how to eat the right kinds of fats and how to avoid the wrong kinds of fats.

This board is packed full of great information on how to do Atkins the RIGHT way!
