Big ButtQuestion : My butt keeps getting bigger. It seems that when I gain weight, it only goes to my back side. What should I do to even out the weight gain? -- Jamie Answer : Why, make everything else bigger of course! Just a joke, Jamie. Seriously, we all tend to gain weight in one particular area first and lose weight in that same area last. This area for you is obviously your butt. Assuming that the weight gain is OK by you, the best advice I can give you is to increase the muscle mass in your upper body. This will balance your figure, so you won't feel so "bottom heavy" and increase your metabolism so you won't gain weight so easily. Try chest presses, lat pull downs and lat raises for your shoulders, and bicep curls and triceps extensions for your arms. Walking, cycling and in-line skating are all great aerobic exercises and will work your lower body without making it bigger. Post your questions and comments on the Tone Up Your Body message board!
