Calorie-Free Treats

Want to reward yourself without food? Here's how iVillagers do it.

Beautify yourself

I have my nails manicured and color my hair. --zoe27

Take a day off

I let myself be sick on Saturday. My dear husband pampers me, and I sleep in. --emjv

Get a massage

I treat myself to a 30-minute appointment with a massage therapist. --smalltowngirl_cissy

Take a vacation

My husband and I seldom get a chance to be alone, so this weekend we packed off the children with Auntie and went out of state. We did some leisure shopping, caught a really good movie and went for long leisurely moonlit walk. I came home re-energized and happy to see my children --cl-chrystine99

Relax in the tub

I prepare myself luxurious baths, with soft music and scented candles to set the relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes I use herbal concoctions or organic orange peels in my bath water. Then I slip into the tub for relaxation and therapeutic time alone. --crystal.clear

Connect with a loved one

I call my Mom on the phone. Email is really great (on the long distance bill), but sometimes I just need to hear her voice. Sounds funny coming from a 46-year-old, but it really is true. --jcvp

Shop

I shop for myself. --ladyrose125

Set aside alone time

A have a friend who says that every morning, after fixing breakfast and getting the children for school, she grabs her mug of coffee and goes to her bedroom to read for 15 minutes. No one is allowed to interrupt her. She calls it her "private stress-free time," and her husband ensures that she is not interrupted. --twnchristine

Create a home spa

I will splurge on the Origins salt rub and give myself a spa day at home this weekend. The salt rub exfoliates like a charm. My skin will be as soft as my baby's. I'll also do a facial, manicure and pedicure. I'll light candles, put on jazz music, have a nice glass of wine (yes, calories and all) and think about how blessed I am. --smjs

Indulge in a great workout

I had a revelation during the poll iVillage ran asking "when do you feel good about your body?" I realized it was after I exercised. However, exercising was always the last item on the list for the day. So I moved it up. I do it for me, me, me. And my attitude on life has completely changed. --catmaxwell
