Check It Out: Andare Run Skirt

By: Lindsey Unterberger

Why leave the flirty skirts to the tennis team? New Balance's recently launched Andare Run Skirt is here to give your run an ultrafeminine feel. We know the idea of jogging in an A-line sounds silly, but the skirt is as much about function as it is style. Consider your typical running shorts ‑- you know, the kind you have to pull down constantly because they seem to ride up with every stride. With the skirt, the body-conforming shorts are built into the underside, making for a wedgie-free workout (hopefully!). New Balance claims its Phantom Waistband (think seamless) is so comfortable you won't even know it's there. The seamless technology and lack of baggy material are also supposed to lower your risk of chafing. Made of Lightning Dry Stride fabric, the skirt was designed with the woman-on-the-go in mind. The fabric manages moisture transfer, which means that even after your run you'll be dry enough to move on to your next activity. An added bonus: A small inside pocket provides a safe home for your keys, credit cards and other essentials.
