Getting healthy for a weddingWhen I first went to college, my roommate always had a small piece of paper on her desk with the number of foods she should eat from each food group. As she went through the day, she would mark off what she had eaten and the amount of water she had taken in. She always looked great and was an outstanding student. --Janelle Don't Just Sit There
I made a pact with myself that if I am going to watch television, I cannot just sit there and watch. I have to be doing some sort of strength training. I do crunches, leg lifts and arm exercises with dumbbells. It works great even if you are going to work out for a half hour. Just think how many crunches and leg lifts you can fit into a half hour! Food was weighing me down, and I could tell the difference when I cut back. I drink lots of water and juice. Cut back on your portion sizes and give yourself 20 minutes before having seconds. You'll usually find that you are not as hungry as you thought. --iVillager Be a Weight Watcher Weight Watchers, Weight Watchers, Weight Watchers. I can't say it enough. I found it a great way to lose weight. There are no restrictions on what you eat. If you want a "Dairy Queen" go for it, but don't have that and a hamburger from your local fast food joint on the same day. I found the point system an easy way to start eating healthy. The weight loss is steady but gradual, the way all experts say it should be. --iVillager Previous Page | page 2 of 3 | Next Page
