Is this giving my muscles the rest they need? --janette55 You can alternate Pilates and weights so long as the Pilates isn't so muscle intensive that you feel overworked on your weight training days. If the focus of your Pilates routine is more on stretch, posture and length, it can complement your weight training perfectly. You should make sure you get at least one day of complete rest from everything at least once a week or whenever your body tells you that you need it. Got a question or comment for Liz?
