Intro to GolfBy: Jonny Bowden
Try this: Take 20 balls to a practice tee. Hit them with one club. Walk over and pick up the five nearest and the five farthest. The 10 grouped in the center will give you your average distance for that club. Mark it down, and repeat the process using all the other clubs. This will help you determine which club to use for each particular shot, and it's a better way to learn about clubs and distances than reading a chart. Before you know it, you'll be picking the right clubs. Next week we'll discuss purchasing the ideal "beginner's set" of clubs and some other information about clubs, putters and grips. Is there a sport or activity you'd like to learn more about? Let us know! Previous Page | page 2 of 2
