Can I lose weight without giving up pasta? Answer : There are plenty of Italians in Italy that eat pasta all of the time and have no weight issues, but I don't advocate eating pasta if you want to lose weight. To lose unwanted bloat and fat, you should avoid processed starchy carbohydrates. Processed carbohydrates make you retain water and cause bloat.
