The Body BuddiesWhat is a 33-year-old stay-at-home mom to do when she wants to lose her post-baby pounds? She relies on her oldest and dearest friends for support. My four closest girlfriends from high school and I are in different stages of our lives and rely on each other for daily motivation to get fit. We email back and forth each day with our struggles and are taking the challenge together to bring our weight loss and fitness up to another level. I live 20 minutes outside of Boston with my husband, Chris, and three darling children, Jessica (5 years), Ethan (2 years) and Gavin (8 months). Although I stay active running after the kids, I've had a hard time getting back into pre-pregnancy shape. I'd like to lose 12 more pounds and reach a normal BMI range. My friends are taking the challenge to deal with their own issues. Amy and Robyn are struggling with weight fluctuation, having success for a week or two and then gaining it right back. Marie and Beka are single with no children, and while they're not looking to lose weight, they both want to make healthier eating choices and stay in shape. We all would like to boost the fun factor of our workouts and will support each other throughout the challenge to make our efforts a lasting success.
