The Diet Diva

It's a new year, and it's time for a new me. You may know me as Crazymrsnancy, my nickname on iVillage and throughout the blogosphere. I'm a French-Canadian 27-year-old living in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, with my husband and a very spoiled Shih Tzu named Loki. I'm an administrative assistant, and I work for my provincial government.

To be honest, my primary weight loss motivation has always been "to be able to wear cute, sexy, regular-sized clothes." Today I have another reason to lose weight... a reason that tugs at my heart every time I see a pregnant woman. I want to lose weight to be able to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy.

I am a typical yo-yo dieter. I often start a weight loss plan on a Monday, fully motivated and determined, only to fall off the wagon by Friday. My biggest weaknesses are going out to restaurants, constant evening grazing and laziness. Many times, all I want to do after work is wrap myself up in a warm blanket on the couch and watch TV.

So here is my plan of action: I've bought a treadmill;, I've cleaned the gym area in my basement; and I've joined the challenge to get fit in the upcoming months. I have a lot of weight to lose, so I hope the challenge will give me the momentum that I need to keep going. In six weeks, I want to have some healthy habits established in my life, such as daily exercise and everything else in moderation. I am ready to get started!
