The Dynamic Duo

Losing weight is something that's always on my mind. Twenty years ago, I was exercising seven days a week — although it took a long time for me to get to that point. During my novice exercise days, I'd go to the gym, take a dry sauna, shower and go home without stepping foot on the treadmill. Then one day I was invited to take a beginning aerobics class, and it was great. I noticed a huge difference in my body in just two weeks. After I had my second child, however, exercise became less of a priority. So here I am 12 years later, overweight, tired and disgusted... but hopeful. My goal every morning is to get up and work out for 10 minutes. I know I am ready to start... tomorrow.

My twin Bobbie and I want to be in the best shape of our lives by our 50th birthday this November. I am in better shape than Bobbie, and I want to get her motivated to start working out and make it a lifestyle. Bobbie is a minister at our Church, New Philadelphia A.M.E. in Rancho Dominguez, California, and works for CONEXIS in Orange, California, as a client services representative. I have been a business analyst for the Boeing Company for 26 years. The two of us are determined to get fit together during the next six weeks so we will have experienced a real milestone makeover by our 50th birthday.
