The Social SnackersIn a matter of months, my life will change in a big way. I will graduate from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May and receive automatic membership to the big, scary working world. This means that now, more than ever, I need to focus on becoming the thin, glamorous career woman I've always dreamt of being. I'm about 30 pounds away from my goal weight, and I'm hoping this challenge will serve as the jump-start I need. I have always struggled with eating and body image. Having exhausted every diet in the book, I know what doesn't work, and I know what I want. I want to learn how to tackle stress-induced binges and social noshing. I want to establish a regular exercise routine that won't bore me by day two. I want to look and feel as sexy as my boyfriend thinks I am. I want to learn healthy habits that will continue to stick, long after my diploma arrives. And my roommate, Kristin, is going to help me. She's taking the challenge to begin regular running and weight-training routines and to fit back into her skinny jeans of high school days. I have no doubt that she and I will ace our assignments and reach our goals. After all, we're A students!
