Do the Ovaries Take Turns?By:
How often do the ovaries alternate in ovulation? Do they take turns monthly, or what? I am trying to conceive, but I have only one good tube. Both ovaries work. I am also on Clomid.

Many women have been led to believe that the ovaries communicate with other and even know what is going on in the other ovary: "You got all the fun last month, so this month it is my turn!" Well, the ovaries just don't work that way.
It's true that after a year or so, women with two normal ovaries will most likely have ovulated about 50 percent of the time from one ovary and 50 percent from the other. But that's apparently a factor of random chance. Ovulation does not strictly alternate sides from month to month.
