Given Drugs -- but Already PregnantBy: Question : Last month I was given 100mg of Clomid to take days 5-9, 75IU of Humegon, and Profasi. The doctors know I ovulated from this. Now they tell me I was already pregnant when I took these drugs, based on the measurements from the ultrasound and the pregnancy test levels. Can any of these medicines harm the fetus? Could I have conceived again and be carrying two fetuses? What kind of complications can this cause? D.B. Answer : The risk of fetal anomalies from exposure to clomiphene (Clomid) or Humegon or Profasi during early pregnancy is minimal. Other complications, such as miscarriage, would be rare. It is not possible to be pregnant and then ovulate a month later and conceive again.
