Starting today, keep a diary of your symptoms, stresses in your life and what you’re eating. Make sure your doctor runs the basic tests: blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and anything else your doctor thinks is important. Because heart disease symptoms in women are so nondescript, it’s easy for us to push them aside, but the fact that you are thinking about the possibilities already puts you in a good place. If you live in a town where you have access to a good cardiologist, I wouldn’t hesitate to have a specialist take a look.
