Hungry Girl: Thirst Quenchers

By: Lisa "Hungry Girl" Lillien

Don't blow your calories on beverages. There are many delicious, calorie-free drinks that'll quench even the biggest thirst. Check out some of my absolute favorites.

SoBe Sugar Free Adrenaline Rush

Hands down, this is the world's greatest energy drink. It tastes like the most delicious passion fruit flavored soda ever. I love SoBe Sugar Free Adrenaline Rush so much it hurts! And this buzz-tastic beverage has lots and lots of vitamins (including 100 percent of the RDA allowance of vitamin C) and no calories at all. It's also great for cocktails, and has 1,000 milligrams of taurine and 79 milligrams of caffeine per can. Yum!

Tropicana Orangeade

Wanna feel like a kid again without taking in a bunch of calories? Just sip some Tropicana Sugar Free Orangeade. Each can is deliciously citrus-y, and contains only five calories! Pour this over ice for the perfect summery drink. Hungry Girl Tip: Mix things up a bit! Add a splash of Torani Sugar Free Raspberry Syrup. Mmmmmm.

Coca-Cola Zero

Yes, there is yet another version of Diet Coke on supermarket shelves. But wait! This new soda has an edge on the others. Coke Zero rocks... and even kicks the butt of Diet Coke with Splenda. Give it a try! This zero will score a perfect 10, fooling die-hard Coke fans and converting Diet Coke devotees.

Low Sodium V8

I love the great taste of V8. However, I'm usually hesitant to guzzle down fruit and veggie juices because of they're high in calories, sugar and sodium. Luckily, low sodium V8 contains much fewer calories and less sugar than most fruit juices. And each serving has 75 percent less sodium than regular V8. In fact, one eight-ounce serving has just 50 calories, no fat, 10 grams carbs, two grams fiber, eight grams sugar and two grams protein. This hearty and filling beverage is so chock-full of goodness that each cup even counts as one full serving of fruits and veggies. Yowsa!
