Biography:
Among her academic appointments, Dr. Kuehl is director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at the Children's National Medical Center, professor of pediatrics at George Washington University Medical School and is a member of the Children's Research Institute in the Center for Health Services and Clinical Research. Dr. Kuehl earned her M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1965, and her M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins University in 1997. She earned her B.A. from Swarthmore College in 1961. Among her honors, Dr. Kuehl was recognized as a National Merit Scholar (1957-1961), National Research Fellow (1974-1976) and Award of Merit for Research, Montgomery County (1990). In addition to her academic appointments, she is currently a member of the Children's National Health Network Board, as well as the Medical Advisory Board, Adult Congenital Heart Association.
