Biography:
Dr. Cheng has been a practicing oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the New York City area since 1983. He received his BA degree from Stanford University in 1973 and received his DDS degree from Columbia University in 1978. He completed a general practice residency as well as an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Hospital.
Dr. Cheng is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. For many years he was engaged in full time private practice in Westchester , N.Y.. He has held teaching positions at Georgetown University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York Medical College and Seton Hall University. At present, Dr. Cheng is Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the VA Medical Center, East Orange , N.J..as well as involved in part time private practice. His areas of interest are dental implants and oncology.
