Biography:

Dr. Cohen has been a practicing cardiologist since 1987. He received his B.S. degree magna cum laude in 1977 from the State University of New York - Stony Brook, where he was also Phi Beta Kappa, and received his M.D. degree from SUNY Downstate in 1981. He did his post-graduate medical training at Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he was Chief Medical Resident, and returned to SUNY Downstate for his Cardiology training. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Aside from being a published author, Dr. Cohen is an avid runner and was the consulting cardiologist for the WB-Channel 11 (New York) broadcast of the 1998 New York City Marathon.
