Minerals Center

Minerals are a type of micronutrient needed in small amounts by the body. People require small amounts of about 25 minerals for good health. Examples include iron, calcium, potassium and sodium. Many minerals assist with hormones (such as chromium and iodine) or enzymes. Some minerals, such as magnesium, are used to build tissues. Iron helps transport oxygen in the blood.
