Biography:

Dr. Bercow is an attending cardiac surgeon at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center in Roslyn, New York. A graduate of Tulane University and the St. Georges University School of Medicine, Dr. Bercow was a resident, then Chief Resident, in surgery at the Brooklyn Hospital/Caledonian Hospital in New York. He completed his post-graduate training as a resident, then Chief Resident, in cardiothoracic surgery at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. Board-certified in both general and thoracic surgery, Dr. Bercow performs over 400 heart surgeries a year. He is extremely active in the development and use of leading-edge surgical techniques such as minimally invasive and "beating heart" surgery, and stentless valve replacement.
