Skin infections stem from sources such as inflammation of a hair follicle (folliculitis), sexually transmitted behavior (e.g., herpes simplex viruses), diseases associated with childhood (e.g., measles, impetigo) and reactions to medication or illness (Stevens Johnson syndrome).
