As the frequency of ejaculation increases, the volume of sperm drops. Typically, the concentration and total number of moving sperm is about 30 percent lower with daily sexual activity compared with having sex every other day. For most men, the total number of motile sperm should still be adequate. But if sperm production or transport is hampered in any way, daily intercourse may result in semen that does not provide for optimal fertility.
