Biography:

A leader in the field of interventional cardiology, Dr. Stephen Gulotta is an attending cardiologist at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center and the North Shore University Hospital. In his nearly 40-year career in cardiology, he has held numerous senior hospital positions and academic appointments. He is the former Chief of the Division of Cardiology at North Shore University Hospital (1970-79) and from 1981 to 2000 he was the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Francis Hospital. A distinguished academic, Dr. Gulotta held posts as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Cornell University Medical College between 1970 and 1985. The author of numerous scholarly articles, he is an Editorial Consultant to the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and a former editorial consultant to the American Journal of Cardiology. Dr Gulotta received the Distinguished Service in Cardiology Award from the American Heart Association in 2000.
