William Trattler

Eye Health


Dr. William Trattler is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialties in refractive, corneal and cataract eye surgery. A graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, he performed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania and then completed subspecialty training in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He returned to Miami to join his father and 12 other ophthalmologists at the Center For Excellence in Eye Care, where he is a cornea specialist. He is also on the teaching faculty of the University of Miami/Veterans Administration Hospital of Miami. As an attending physician at Veterans Hospital, Dr. Trattler is involved in training ophthalmology residents from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He is the author of Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple, a textbook used by medical students throughout the world.
